東京海上日動プログラミングコンテスト2020概要
東京海上日動火災保険株式会社が主催する、個人戦のオンラインプログラミングコンテストです。このコンテストは rated です。レートが2799以下の参加者は、コンテスト結果によってレートが変動します。
なぜ東京海上日動がプログラミングコンテストを実施するのか
私たち東京海上日動はAtCoderユーザーを必要としています。
今から遡ること約140年前、私たちは日本初の損害保険会社として生まれました。明治という時代を引っ張った海運・貿易業の進展を支えた海上保険から始まり、モータリゼーションにおける自動車保険、大規模な地震災害に備えた地震保険、最近では社会のネットワーク化に対応したサイバーリスク保険等、損害保険は時代の変化と共に進化しつづけています。 創業以来140年間、私たちはデータを基とした数理モデルで事故や災害などのリスクを見える化し、社会に求められる新しい保険商品・サービスを提供し続けてきましたが、昨今の技術革新や社会構造が高度にデジタル化していく中で、これまで以上のスピード感で変化していくことを求められています。 最先端のデジタル技術、IoT機器や人の行動から生まれた複雑なデータを有効に活用することで、より安心・安全な社会を実現していくためには、これまで以上に高度なアルゴリズム構築力やプログラミング力を持った人材がキーになると考えています。 本コンテスト参加者の皆さまが、こうした先端技術や複雑化したデータを駆使して、安心・安全な社会の実現に向けた新たなビジネスを生み出している、あるいは誰かのそうした挑戦を後押ししている。そのような未来を想像しながら本コンテストを開催します。

Why Tokio Marine target AtCoder users
Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co.,Ltd. needs AtCoder users.
About 140 years ago, we were born as the first Non-Life insurance company in Japan. We started with marine insurance, which support growth of shipping or trade in Meiji period, followed by auto insurance in motorization, earthquake insurance for large-scale earthquake disasters, and cyber risk insurance for the recent networked society. Non-life insurance has been changing with the progress of times. For 140 years since establishment, we have been providing new insurance services for the changing society by quantifying the risks of accidents and disasters based on mathematical models. However, in the current era of technological innovation and digital transformation, we endeavor to transform ourselves more rapidly than ever. To build a safe and secure society by utilizing complex data acquired from the latest digital technologies, IoT equipment and human activities, we strongly believe that talents with algorithm design and programing become a key to our success. We hope, in the future, participants of this contest will create new businesses or support those challenges by using cutting-edge technologies and complicated data, leading to a safe and secure society.

- To receive a prize (Amazon gift card), it is required to register an email address and agree to the privacy policy in application for this competition. In case that any email address is not registered or there is no agreement to the privacy policy, the participant will not be eligible for the prize.
- People who reside outside of Japan and Tokio Marine Group employees are not eligible to receive prizes.
- If for any reason the prize cannot be delivered, we will contact you at your registered email address. If you do not reply within two weeks, the prize will not be awarded.
- If an awardee becomes ineligible to receive the prize, the award will be presented to the participant who is one rank below.
- If there are more than one persons with the same ranking, awardees may be decided by lot.
Contest Rules
This contest is full-feedback (solutions are judged during the contest).When you solve a problem, you get a score assigned to it. Competitors are ranked first by total scores, then by penalties. The penalties are computed as (the time you spend to get your current score) + (5 minutes) * (the number of incorrect attempts).
