Introduction of Generative AI Rules in AHC

With the rapid advancement of generative AI technologies in recent years, the use of AI has been growing within the AtCoder Heuristic Contest (AHC) as well. At AHC, we view generative AI positively, considering it a tool that supports human creativity and trial-and-error, and we have **no policy of restricting all usage**. However, recent research has shown that **automatically generating and selecting a large number of code candidates using generative AI** can be extremely powerful in short-duration contests. Such usage, where **human involvement is minimal and outcomes are driven primarily by computational resources**, raises concerns about fairness. The rule introduced this time is a **preventive measure** based on these emerging trends. We believe that **most past uses of generative AI in AHC do not fall under the scope of prohibited behavior**. This rule will be applied to all heuristic contests held from AHC049 onward, regardless of their duration (short-term or long-term). We will continue to review and adjust these rules as needed, striving to balance fairness and creativity based on actual trends and technological developments. ## Rules For full details, please refer to the following page: [AtCoder Heuristic Contest Generative AI Usage Rules - Version 20250616](https://info.atcoder.jp/entry/ahc-llm-rules-en) A brief summary of the rule is as follows: - **Automatically generating a large number of outputs using APIs or scripts** is prohibited.
