### Apology and Current Status Regarding Judge Queue Delays
Currently, there are delays in the judging process for source code submissions and custom tests. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our users.
Over the past few days, we have been under continuous attack from repeated mechanical source code submissions that exceed the number of judging machines permanently set up by AtCoder. As a result, users submitting within normal usage ranges are experiencing delays in judging.
During contests, we prepare a sufficient number of judging machines to avoid such problems. However, maintaining the same number of machines during non-contest hours is financially difficult.
Although we have been taking measures such as account suspension and access restrictions, these have resulted in a cat-and-mouse situation and have not been fully effective.
To continue providing a stable service, we will be implementing various countermeasures. Among them, we would like to inform you in advance of a measure that is likely to have a significant impact on users.
### Future Measures
We will introduce CAPTCHA authentication for source code submissions and custom tests.
We have already introduced CAPTCHA for new registrations and login screens, and now we will also apply it to source code submissions.
However, for Rated contests such as ABC, ARC, AGC, and AHC that are ongoing, we plan to allow submissions without CAPTCHA to avoid risks of submission failures caused by CAPTCHA malfunctions. (Please note that this specification is not guaranteed to remain unchanged in the future.)
### Impact on Unofficial Tools
Due to this change, it will become difficult to submit through unofficial tools.
AtCoder does not provide support for unofficial tools. We will not be able to respond to inquiries regarding them either, so please understand this in advance.
We are aware that some users participate using unofficial tools. We have made efforts to accommodate their convenience as much as possible. However, in order to maintain service stability and sound operations, we have determined that this measure is necessary. We kindly ask for your understanding.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
